office votes no to later starts

While on the line this morning the members have voted to tell R.M. TO STICK THEIR LATER START RIGHT UP THEIR JACKSES. As one of the line asked ( QUOTE ) WHAT THE FECK ARE WE DOING LOOSING 4 DAYS PAY ONLY TO AGREE TO COMPLY WITH R.MS. EX/ACTION RE LATER STARTS. THIS GOT A 100% VOTE SO GUESS WE WILL BE IN FOR A ROUGH WED MORNING, AS WE EXPECT THE DUMS TO TAKE ACTION AGAINST US, BRING IT ON. I HOPE A LOT OF OTHER OFFICES TAKE THE SAME STAND AND JOIN US TO WIN THIS WAR.

I don`t envy any of you boys on delivery, you`re in the front line of all this with the start times.
But are you playing into RMs hands by taking unofficial? After all that is what they want isn`t it so the official action becomes null and void.
There will be huge backlogs at the end of these next few days, the rolling strikes will back that up further still until perhaps another 48 hour strike further on if needed...If unofficials happen the official rolling strikes (which we know do work) will be null and void and far less people will come out on strike, exactly what RM want.

YOU ARE MISSING THE POINT FRIEND, WHY TAKE ACTION FOR 4 DAYS OR 7 IF YOU INCLUDE THE LAST I/A AND POSSIBLY EVEN MORE, AND THEN SUBMIT TO THESE TOSSERS, WHO IT SEEMS DONT GIVE A TOSS ABOUT WHATEVER ACTION AND MONEY WE LOOSE, I SAY FECK THEM, IF THE HEAD TABLE CANT GIVE US THE LEADERSHIP WE DESERVE THEN WE HAVE TO TAKE R.M. ON, ON OUR TERMS IMOP.

Yes well said if only every office just turned up for work as normal 0500 that'll f*** up no end, as a driver i do feel for the actual walking post men/woman in this dispute because its them that are going to get SH*T on the most, but never fear we will back you all the way, i like the idea of if they want later starts say 0615 give it to them and cut off the last hour as I/A now what would they do then ?

There were plenty of waverers moaning about coming out on these 48 hour strikes. Ultimately it seems from what has been reported on here that the vast majority did stay out. My own view is that apart from believing we are striking for the right reasons, they did not want to cross an official picket line.
If you go down the unofficial route, you`ll find that while some of the offices like your own will support it there is no way that you will get the numbers overall coming out on strike as they are now.
Why are we slating the leadership already, yes they f****d up on the previous I/A but we have to forget that. After these next few days we have rolling strikes. If they called these off for 'talks' then I`d agree that the only way would be unofficial action. For now we should back the leadership and keep as many people with us as possible, official action is the only way to achieve that at the moment.

there's loads of offices that dont agree with the later starts,our office is 100% behind the strikes and always supports the cwu--my problem is this,we have had hardly any guidance from the union on later starts,we wanted a ballot to take ia against starting later--our area rep said we wasnt allowed (aint got a clue why).also our rep rang simpson/miller off his own back to try and get some info about where we stand legally if they impose later starts by executive action,he was told sorry we cant give you any info because the cwu had asked them to not give out any advice--strange eh!
