One of our guys has been asked to work in another office for a week.
How does he claim mileage for driving to it?
How much etc?

leave new work place in time to return to your home office before your finishing time.

claim 45p per mile each way between home office and new work place from the D.O. you are working at for the week.

Don't think it has anything to do with being part time. More likely the postie in question has no knowledge of such rules, and the DIM was hoping not to pay the travelling allowances. Newer staff are always taken advantage of, not right by any means, but if they can get away with it, they will.
You always travel to and from any office you are asked to work in during your working hours.
And tell them not to forget to ask for training on the duty they are asked to do.

Poor guy called me at ten on Friday obv a bit hassled.
Not accusing dim of taking advantage but gotta wonder why things fail to be mentioned sometimes.
