started lapsing this week

Lapsing was started this week and it was arranged that the lapsing was to be done after you finished your round, this was implemented because of early starters starting up to an hour early each day and getting back to the office an hour early .
After returning to the office the first ones back would lapse a bundle each pair per van on P/L(16 bundles per walk) plus the ones back later had to wait until everyone had finished their lapsing and had returned to the office.
What happens today was that everyone started at their PROPER start time and it was total chaos as usually the early starters
were saving the office about 20 hours a day.
Management were even throwing off and sorting parcels and everyone was late off IPS and late out on delivery.
Everyone came back at finishing time en masse with the lapsing still in the frame undelivered.
Wonder what plan B is for management tomorrow ?

everyone stuck to normal start times again and no lapsing done again .
Management now getting aggressive with staff and staff now saying what about all the goodwill when we came in early to get the rounds finished?

good job eastie wish they would do it in our office - weve been double lapsing because people come in at 5 am to start ips instead of 6

Just goes to show how unappreciated we all are. Think the managers were hoping you would only do a one day protest and go back to the way it was.
Well done to all.
If you continue to stick together, it will be hard for them to do anything to you. If they target one of you, you should all back them up, even if it means walking out.
Maybe diarise, individually and as a group, any comments/instructions etc., for future use/reference.

Doesn't take long for them to revert to type, does it. One day of people working correctly, and they immediately resort to bullying.
Why not print out and take in that LTB (I think from April) regarding the enforcement, by RM , of start times and Meal reliefs.
Like to see the DOM argue against that policy that they should already be doing themselves.

it shows it only works if people come in early.
they were saving RM about 15 to 20 hours a day ut they are only interested in cuts, cuts cuts.
Think the penny has now dropped with the early starters

Off subject I know but this going to every door with d2d's (1 loop per day) is an absolute shocking idea. What the hell was wrong with popping them all in the frame and taking what you have mail for each day... Then finishing up any leftovers on Saturday?

Going to be blunt here, did you have time? Did you start early? Did you use your own car? Did you finish on time after the absorbing?

did you have time? Yes, Due to leaving at 9 instead of scheduled 9:35am
Did you start early? No, 5 minutes late
Did you use your own car? Not a chance
Did you finish on time after the absorbing? Yup, Had to get a wiggle on towards the end though! (28c doesn't help)

My mine gripe is people waiting for thier mail, They open the door soon as they see me, I hand them a flyer for some crap they've absolutely no interest in , It's embarrassing
At least the old way, We actually had a bit of mail to hand over also, So the crap blended in.
