Notice pay!

I was in a fixed term contract that was repeatedly extended... It was due to expire on 6th July after its 4th extension. However on 12th June, whilst off sick my manager ended it in a phone conversation. I had no option but to accept. He sent me a letter confirming this.

There was no notice given, or pay for the period... Should there have been?

see your rep. first of all did dom do this off his own back. is the job no longer open or has it been re advertised if so I would say there is an issue here.

He did yes, I was off sick from January (due to bullying), they kept extending it.

I asked him why they kept extending it but ignoring my appeal, and he ended it. No real explanation. It was just dragging on :(

My contract states that it can be ended before my fixed term date, but if it goes beyond this ( mth to mth) then up to 26 weeks they need to give 1 weeks notice, after 26 weeks 2 weeks notice .... I was employed 9 months.

I was off due to being bullied by a manager, reported it, got ignored, appealed it, got ignored... Now the DOM is carrying on by not giving me notice, not giving me my holiday pay... Refusing my calls to sort it out.... I'm so cross...ACAS are wanting to handle it now

Been through union, not got very far they banging head against brick wall...

They agree with me but getting anything done is a different matter, gone through 3 tiers of reps now!

Gone through hell...and it continues now I've left... They managers have no clue.. They just brushed it all under the carpet.

I have gone to ACAS about the fact they refusing me holiday pay, they advised ET... It's been accepted.

The managers refuse to back down and pay me... They must think they are right....

It was a 6 mth contract that apparently they "had" to keep extending as I was off sick. The ended it after I called and asked why it was continually extended but my appeal was ignored? I didn't get that... It was then ended with no notice and from 3 days later.

They need to back down, but the law is there in black n white! They just need to do things right
