Empty toilet roll in letter box

On my Absorbtion bit. There is 1 house with a empty toilet roll in the letter box.

Anyone know why there is a empty toilet roll in the letter box ?

I have one where they put the tumble dryer pipe out through the letter box ...however I've always been good and squeezed the crap through the side of it by rolling it up ... maybe that's the reason for the bog roll ???

I've got one on mine who puts dishcloths in his letterbox, although DEFCLEAN 1 has apparently been declared, as the dishcloths have recently been 'upgraded' to a sponge

I would guess its to stop the letter box flap banging in the wind?

I see bubble wrap, towels, dishcloths, bolts, blue tack, fishing wire, brown tape, elastic bands, duct tape, and on a few occasions welded or screwed shut.

Just get a stiffer flap

I have one house where the letterbox is a strip of carpet nailed to the front door .. you have to lift up the carpet to post the mail through the hole .. nice area

How weird.

I have a house where they always leave a spare key inside the letterbox. I never remember about it and keep pushing it through with the mail.
I hope whoever needs in is standing in the pouring rain
