I have had a major disagreement with the branch secretary. He forwarded an e-mail I sent to him to our area manager. I wanna know how easy it would be to vote him out. Don't think asking him that would be very wise of me so thats why I am asking here.

You want a vote of no confidence on probably a man of good integrity and morals, probably long standing and well established because you have had a Disagreement with him probably about management and you ain't got the kaonas to tackle it yourself so let someone else to the hard work. And like all the weaklings if you don't get what you like blame the union rep, be dammed if you do be dammed if you don't. Grow a pair and stand against him in the next election (which a usually biennial) and see how difficult his job really is instead of bad mouthing him - whoo the bad man be nasty to me

Think you should keep your mouth shut all he wants is good advice on why he is being treated so abhorrently by a rep who I assume he trusted to send an e.mail to who then forwarded to a manager asshole get rid of him asap.

I want to get our local rep in. He is rerally good. Cant believe a CWU official would stab a member in the back like he did.

As for trying to do his job, I want him voted out so he will have to do our job, get him back on the post. I know which job I would prefer to do and it aint delivering letters!

Its quite simple!.. there is a breach of trust here, Now you have gotta back peddle, go to your DOM and explain exactly why you felt you had to say what you did (depending on how bad the email was) you will now have to back up what you have said and explain the email, cos if you leave it, things may escalate.. he could make things worse, not enough for a case of constructive dismissal or bullying but little things like messing with your days off or putting you on walks you hate etc..etc. Deal with it now m8.
If you have to make an apology somewhere down the line regarding your email, then so be it you can always say it was the heat of the moment and with hindsight you regret the email and should never of sent it..but you now have to do the work m8 simply because you started the ball rolling, you must be prepared to back up what you have done and you must face the consequences of your actions.
I would recommend that next time you have an issue about a manager go and talk to him/her don't be a sneaky beaky...it will always come back to bite you in the ass. (As we have seen in your case)
We all have our views and ideas about our DOM's in the work place we either keep stum, discuss the issue with them or post on here..lol ..

It was are area manager he forwarded the e-mail to. I have no contact with him nore have ever met him. My local manager already hates me and f***s with my holiday and what rounds I am on so I am very used to that. My views are made perfectly clear to my line manager I am by no means sneeky. I would have worded the e-mail very differently if i knew my area manager was going to read it and if I had known my name was going to be passed on to my area manager. Still very discusted about what has happened.

If it was supposed to be in any way private, why make it public?
