Working in thunderstorms?

Is there any health and safety regulations about do a walk during a thunderstorm
Like today? I know in my old job work wouldn't go ahead during a storm

Do you really need your DOM to tell you what to do in case of lightning.
Lightning is dangerous. It can kill you.
If you are out in a thunderstorm, it would be advisable to seek shelter for the duration.

Is crossing roads dangerous? Does Georoute allow time for my mummy to come out and help me across the road?
The CWU should be all over this.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

In Royal Mail's eyes you would be blameworthy if you were to be struck by lightning or, on conduct charge for wilful delay if you took shelter and could not complete :crazy:
