Changing walks again.

Our office as just gone into the revision, and like a pratt i have changed from my walk which was a single duty to a van share. I have difficulty in keeping up with my partner,
and also the walk itself is really hard to do. My fellow worker is 41 and i am 54, yes i have regrets in changing. The manager said, once we have picked our new walks thats it, you cant go back to your old walk, is that right, is there a certain amount of time before you can change back, or is that it.

No guarantee you can get your old walk back but there is a period before you can sign for another walk.

12 months iirc.

Unless there is a revision involved.

In that if you moved as a result of a full repick then the 12 month rule doesn't apply so if there is a vacancy you can apply in the normal way.

At the other end if their is another full repick inside the 12 months then you can volunteer your duty to be included in the repick even if there has been no major change to your own duty.

However, if there was no repick then your stuck for 12 months and then till there is a vacancy. If your office is stilll going through the repick, then I am afraid your stuck as well.

We've guys of 10 years service who are now reserve posties ,what the fck is happening !,,,,,,, part timers got all the desired for duties !
