Royal Mail makes changes to delivery routes in Radlett

New Royal Mail delivery routes are being brought into the WD7 postcode area over the next few weeks.

From this week, postmen and women will use new delivery methods and use different delivery routes.

Every address in Radlett has been contacted about these changes, which will affect households, businesses and other organisations. The changes will mean that Royal Mail will continue to deliver in the morning and for a longer period during the day.

Many customers will continue to get their mail by lunchtime.

The time customers receive mail will depend on where they live on the new delivery route. This may be later or possibly earlier than current delivery times.

When mail volumes vary, the delivery arrangements and times may be adjusted.

The changes are being made because fewer letters are posted every day, meaning that Royal Mail has had to organise its delivery routes to be more efficient.

There has also been an increase in the delivery of larger items, so the service is investing money in new equipment to carry these items.
