I've had a terrible day, has anyone got any stories of where they messed up or had bad days, to make me feel better about mine and so that I know I'm not the only one haha

i got stopped in the street today and shouted and swore at by a customer because he was left a P739 card when he was in. he didnt like the reason that as he has a box on his wall we have been told we are not allowed to knock on the door for any reason, needless to say more shouting and swearing from him. i got back to the office to discover i wasnt the first postie he had targetted today

You delivered a Special without a signature whereas I didn't deliver any of my Specials at all.
I thought my partner had loaded them into the van. He thought I had.
I thought he was doing them. He thought I was doing them.
It wasn't until about 12.30 we realised no-one was doing them and they weren't in the van.
A rather sheepish call to the office confirmed a line manager had found them at my frame and a collections driver had been roped in to do them.

We all f**k up occasionally. Even the best of us. :angel

I had someone chase after me then stick his hand out and say "'I'll take that". I Just put the letter through the door anyway. He said "I said I'll take it I've got ID"..informed him that I can get sacked for handy out mail, all mail goes through letter box's no if or buts...Then I got the attitude "tsk, don''t talk rubbish everyone else does it !" (I've noticed- the worst for demanding mail, are folk waiting for lifts in tower blocks). Not really a bad day, but it pisses you off the way people talk to you.Even had the same last week, where a guy ended up screaming "Well then I'll just take the mail out your "f******" hands !" Grrrrr. It's no wonder I'm using my earphones more now(just pretend I can't hear folk) some folk can just be so rude.

One early February morning, a Saturday, I passed a Doctor's wife from my delivery on her early morning constitutional. She said she'd not seen me for a while, had noticed me on the estate and said there was a parcel on their doorstep for me for a Christmas tip. I thanked her and walked up the close. There, a bloody stray dog had ripped into the parcel and was gorging itself on a pack of Elizabeth Shaw orange crisp chocolates. I tried to get my pressie but nearly lost my hand in the process. I disappeared sharpish, but realised the dog was leaving orange tin foil chocolate wrappers and packaging strewn over her drive - I thought that if she comes back, she'll think I've scoffed them and left all the rubbish on her lawn - what a rude and ungrateful **** I would appear to be. Hastily I went back, the dog had gone, and I spent the next ten minutes picking up bits of chewed tin foil off their garden.
Needless to say, when picked up by van and telling the lads my tale of woe, the piss taking was relentless.
