This office has been on P&L for 2 years now.As a Delivery Postperson, you will start the day by accurately sorting the mail into your delivery route. The average delivery walk lasts approximately 3 and a half hours and each day you will have to deliver multiple bags (approximately 6-8 mailbags), which can each weigh up to 16kg. You will work in all weathers delivering the mail either on foot, by cycle or in a shared van.
When driving, you'll collect mail from Post Office branches, businesses and post-boxes, transporting it to mail centres, delivery offices and airports.
You must hold a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
You need to consider how you will get to work, as public transport may not be available at the start of your shift.

Hours of work:
Part time, 27 hours 30 minutes per week (9:30am - 2:48pm Monday to Saturday with 1 day off)
Flexibility is essential as start and finish times may vary depending on workload, and you may also be required to work in other offices in the area.
Salary: Age 17 - £6.67, Age 18 and above - £8.58 per hour We also offer a Delivery Functional Supplement of £21.62 (pro -rata) plus overtime and shift allowance if applicable.
With a pay increment after 6 & 12 months (subject to satisfactory performance)
