So we get a rise this year, backdated to April. When does the pay rise actually happen?

When its agreed and we have voted on it. If the Union recommend acceptance of an offer it usually gives details on when the rise happens, and if it will be backdated.

Because IMHO Royal Mail drag it out - after all 150,000 (roughly) CWU Grade employees on a 2% pay rise = 0.19p per hour.

or £28,500 per hour which stays in their bank account earning interest.

sorry but the pay rise is very very very low. may be that marginal increase will only go as more tax deducted.

If they awarded what THEY wanted on 1st April without agreement then that is 'imposition' and we are no better than slaves.

How do you work that out, it's around £10 per week , £150 or so if we were paid it this week.

I have a feeling the 'backdated' part of the pay deal will disappear from the final agreement.

If it does, and people still vote for acceptance of the agreement (we do actually get a vote, even though a significant percentage of members fail to use their vote), then they only have themselves to blame

What are the clauses? What are the CWU after?
