How many union reps can you have in one delivery office

We have about 40 people in our office can we have 1union rep and 2 sub reps

I don't think there is a limit to the number of people you can have on a union committee but they are not all going to be allowed the release time.

A minimum quota of union reps in an ideal worldin a delivery office your size would be a Delivery Rep + Sub and H&S Rep + Sub. I don't have a fixed amount for release, preferring the flexible option as it gives me greater freedom to go about union business without having to account for every minute. Technically, the Sub Reps 'stand-in' ad hoc to cover annual leave, sickness etc. That does not mean the Sub Reps cannot be involved in the day-to-day activity. Regular meetings of Reps keep themselves accountable, instill continuity and confidence in the staff and can go a long way to avoid the 'in-the-DIMs-back-pocket' tag that is often unfairly directed at Reps.

I went to a branch best practice meeting a while ago and we were told that the max numbers of IR reps was 1 rep and 1 sub and it didn't matter what size the office was.

We have one IR rep and one H&S rep. The H&S rep acts as sub rep. Both know their stuff. We are lucky. God help us if they ever decide they have had enough.

In my office one IR Rep(me) and a sub, one H&S rep + his sub. We also have a Collections Rep. Over 170 staff in the unit.
