Parcelforce payrise. Maybe.
Some of my colleagues have had a letter today, i haven't, presumably about the payrise. 2.6% plus £300 lump sum payable at christmas. There are some terms and conditions attached with it. I have asked one of the guys to bring the letter in tomorrow so i can read it.

372 * 52 works out more than 1576 *12 unless my calculator is broke.

I also got that same "courier special" letter. It says that parcelforce is not included in that offer and a separate deal is being negotiated still.

To Clarify:smok3y666 wrote:372 * 52 works out more than 1576 *12 unless my calculator is broke.
The conversion figure agreed when Parcelforce converted from weekly to monthly was weekly 52.177
This takes into account for the odd days and the extra day in a leap year
so 1576.33 X 12 = 18915.96 divided by 52.177 = 362.53
So yes posties do earn £10 a week more than Parcelforce workers.
I will say that Parcelforce do get different benefits to RML so in the grand scheme of things we do end up about the same.
And its my understanding that the issue around the paperwork Parcelforce workers received in the post this week is being address by the management in the depots Monday.
