I have been looking through the CWU's website for their Political Levy removal form, but I cannot find the page for it. Does anybody out there have a link to the form? Cheers.

why did ed milliband say joe public pays 6p per week to the political fund through their union and we pay 20p per week ?

Not all the political levy goes to the Labour Party. In the CWU some is returned to the local CWU Branch. The political fund locally and nationally is used for political campaigning, affiliations to political campaigns and local Labour Party Branches, and donations to various causes, as agreed by National Conference or local Branch Committees.
I don't know how much it is now, but when I was a Branch Political Officer a few years back, the political levy was 10p a week. and 2p was returned to the CWU Branch Political Fund. I think 2p went to the Labour Party.

I didn't see what Milliband said about 6p, but that is probably what the unions have to pay to the Labour Party for each affiliated political levy paying member.
As I said above the rest is used for various other purposes such as the 'Keep the Post Public' campaigning.
