Don't get me wrong I will quite happily accept a pay rise and any other bonus thrown at me but privatisation seems to have been hijacked by just talking about what we are gonna get....
I would quite happily accept a pay freeze for a couple of years if it meant privatisation was defeated and our T's and C's were intact.
As I have mentioned before the focus on pay increases and bonus' is not going to gain much support from the general public......
Its true the bbc headlines read " Staff to get free shares" the fact we rejected it by 96% is all but lost other than with the Daily Mirror.
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

To be fair the headline is true and so is the following.
The BBC's strapline of "Postal workers are set to receive millions of pounds' worth of Royal Mail shares when the company is privatised later this year." seems intent on fomenting jealousy, which will no doubt turn to accusations of greed when we are (hopefully) balloted for IA.

2 million pounds of shares would give us £20 each. Thats millions.
However, its likely to be around £2000 each (very roughly). Pro Rata no doubt.
Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole, forget the sun.
And when at last the work is done. Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one

We will only be in private hands until the fat cats have run it into the ground and creamed off all the spoils. Then we will be renationalised, probably immediately prior to when we could sell off our share allocation. Yet again giving us something that will ultimately be worth nothing!
Privatisation has only two purposes. The first is to make the governments fecked up budget look slightly less of a shambles due to a nice big cash injection through the sell off. The second is to make people at the top and big private investors lots of easy money.
Moyas' current paydeal will look almost reasonable compared to what she and her cronies will make out of this!
The public will suffer, the workforce will suffer!
