Getting s**t from boss

I had monday off this week for a hospital appt and today was my day off i never got asked or told to work today and i checked the dutie sheets which said i was off so took it off!!! Had boss banging at my door this morning going mental why im not at work etc !! so i got ready went in then got s**t saying i should no im meant to be working as i was off monday ! But he never said he was making monday my now day off instead of today!! Hes told me he could sack me etc for it but aint going to as the office is short !! Total dick! Am i in the right in saying if he aint told me and im done for being off i am in the right taking it till told otherwise???

He should have told you and you should have asked.

He isn't going to discipline you,the rant was just a bit of childish blame shifting because he realised he should have told you...and you should have asked.

7.30 but as i said it was my day off so shouldnt be in at all !! I dont see how having the day off on sick or hospital would affect ur day off ??? Look at it this way if it was monday to friday job and u had a day off in this week would they expect u to work sat coz u have a day off ???

I told him at at the weekend i couldnt work monday as i had to take my wife in to hospital he choose to ignore me and my messages !! So i took it off got s**t when i went back on the tuesday saying he could sack me etc! That was the end of it! so i took today off as it was my day off!

can i ask why he was knocking on your door so soon ? how did he know you were not coming in ? you could have been in your car coming up the road ready to start a 730 . it sounds like he delibertly target you

I live 2 mins from office small office everyone nos everyone ! He obv knew when it came 10mins past my start time i wasnt in then looked at duties seen i was down as being off then and thought oh iv made a f**k up here but then tried to blame me for it!!! I told him well im down as being off the day and he said no ur not ! So i said ok then i will go get the sheet and show ya he said you cant they have been destroyed!!! hahaha !! Funny that eh!!!
