Time for all unions to stop bankrolling public schoolboy politics . Milliband and his ilk are destroying the working class. We have heard too many times the call to get involved to change the labour party from within. When something is that broken it cant be mended. Put it in the bin and purchase something else. New labour handing the country to the tories and the snp.

the cwu in Scotland is backing the Yes campaign and the STUC is close to coming out in support of the yes campaign and with the unison fall out with Labour I could see the STUC announce it sooner than later

I thought only Scotland No2 branch had backed it? I know theres one Scottish branch staunchly against independence,though they havent had any meetings or a vote yet.

Interested to know when this STUC announcement is likely to be? by the way I have had mainly negative responses to independence from members. though most of the negative responses given are based on a mish mash of half truths so theres definitely some wiggle room.

both Glasgow and Edinburgh came out in support of the yes campaign ... as for the STUC the Snp are in talks with them ... I think the labour spat with Unison could set the ball rolling

There is no other game in town. Loads of unions have shifted to the right over the years. Should their members have left them and formed new purer ones as well? The state of the Labour Party is just a symptom of a wider malaise in the labour movement.

I am sure there was a post on here a while ago that told of the Labour Party's use of one of the Royal Mail's competitors to send out its literature, struck me as a bit disloyal considering the funding the CWU provide (someone might be able to explain that better than me)
