Why do we working class always mention the fact " its a good deal due to the climate"?
Why do we always accept less while those at the top Bankers, Politicians, Directors etc fleece the country even while we are in a recession?

We are far too accepting in this country of the anomalies in the rich/poor/fair/unfair scenarios - take the latest scam by MPs - a proposed 10% increase on their 66k salary - which doesn't mention of course the almost unlimited expense account, allowances for second homes etc and then they mewl well it was someone else' decision and we can't stop it - but you can bet your arse if it was suggested they take a 10% decrease they'd be able to stop it.

When you see other countries awash with civil unrest, marches in the streets, attacking government buildings and so on - it makes you wonder who organises these
things and where is that sort of organisation in the UK because as sure as eggs is eggs there are instances that should be demanded be set right with demonstrations. Have we become a nation of chattering classes, prepared to talk forever rather than DO something.

Great last two posts. The good side of the British psyche is that we've never welcomed extremists of any persuasion, no matter our situation or worsening financial position. The downside is of course is that we're generally far too passive and happy with our lot, and a very small percentage of the population have been very willing to take advantage of this.

I read on here and hear at work far too much that joe blogs the social worker or Kev who works for Hermes are only getting a 1% pay rise and that we should be grateful for anything we're offered. Well bollocks to that. We were cheated on and stolen from with regards to the colleague shares, and any offer that doesn't go a good way to compensating for that will get a 'no' from me. As well as acknowledging our part in quadrupling profits this year.
