Callers duty
Can anyone help me with the criteria for signing for the callers office duty ? is there a test ? where can i find this test ? who can and can't sign for this duty at a re-sign ? . can you post the policy here for me ? many thanx if you can .

Not sure if there is an official policy apart from its counted as a specialist duty. At our place they interview people who apply for it if there is ever a vacancy and then selection is based on skills and the interview - not on seniority except as a tie break.

In ours the union rep decided he wanted it so there was no interviews nothing . he done a deal with the DOM and that was that

Don't work in the callers office. You will end up a miserable c*nt, just like the guys in our callers office. Maybe it's cause they see posties coing back and goign home early when they are stuck in there until their time. Who knows. Bunch of grumps.
