day off question ?

sometimes I get rotational day off's and some times random day off's. I work part-time and cover different walks/ don't have any particular regime, and was wondering what's the principle for day off's.

At my office if covering a duty for the full week then they get the planned day off for that duty. If covering different rounds daily (but not a day off cover duty) then either a Tuesday or if manager is decent you can pre-arrange another day.

I was just wondering if there exists such law by which my employer should provide me rotational day offs as thats what everyone else is getting.

Afraid so, but they should give you a least a few days notice, our list goes up usually on the Monday of the previous week, although of course it can change because of sickness etc.

No law, or agreement other than you must be treated fairly and must not be discriminated against because of your ethnicity, gender, age, disabilities or sexuality. Fairness is hard to pin down though.

But you should get the same number of Saturdays as staff on a rotational day off.
So if they are 1 in 4 - you should get an average of 1 in 4 Saturdays as well.
And that is in BT2010 as well.
