Holiday entitlement
Hi
Can anyone tell me how much holiday I should have. I worked from 29/9/12 to 15/6/13. I worked 25 hours a week. Have had no annual leave. I have finished now thanks to a bullying complaint being brushed under the carpet. The managers haven't put holiday through, I can't get a straight answer from them and quite frankly shouldn't have expected anything else.
Here's hoping someone can help... Thank you :)

Re: Holiday entitlement
Assuming you work a 5 day week.
Approx 9/12 X (22.5 X 5)
Around 84 hours...or 16.5 days.
Plus any days in lieu for Bank Holidays.

Re: Holiday entitlement
Four days is definitely wrong. There's an official annual leave ready reckoner card which covers joining part-way through a year, leaving part-way through a year or getting an increased amount of A/L part-way through a year. This lists the amount of pro-rata leave you are due depending on when you joined/left/got an increase in A/L. We used to have one of those cards in our office but I haven't seen it for a few years.
The principle is easy enough to follow even without the ready reckoner:
In the leave year ending 30/03/2013, you worked just over 26 weeks - half the leave year basically. Therefore, for that year you should get somewhere between 11 and 12 days A/L (roughly half of 22.5 days). You shouldn't have been allowed to carry more than 5 days into this leave year but that's not exactly an uncommon thing to happen.
In the leave year starting 01/04/2013, you worked just short of 11 weeks - about 21% of the leave year. You should get 21% of 22.5 days holiday which is just over 4.5 days.
In total you should be looking at approximately 16 days as fishtank already stated

Re: Holiday entitlement
It's getting worse, he says 3 days is all I'm entitled to.
The union manager and a lady from HR bullying and harassment helpline is going to get the figures worked out. THE MANAGER now wants to not pay me for holiday accrued while on sick, due to the bullying.
I mean if a manager can corner an employee in the loo, call them a W and when you report it the DOM says lets keep this out of the investigation.... What chance do you have with a complaint. Makes me sick!!!!!!!!
But thanks for your help guys, means a lot :)

Re: Holiday entitlement
Got a letter today from Sector manager via union rep.
They say they won't give me holiday pay (accrual) for the time in which I was off sick! Don't they know rules?...
