Requesting a 'Reserve Rest Day'

As a reserve is it possible to request a Rest day!? I have used my spare days and weeks of holiday time, but the holiday we've booked doesn't fly back until the Monday of my rostered working week!?

Any help on how I should approach this will be a huge help.

Swap your day off if in a D/O if not special leave unpaid.

Firstly explain to your DOM the situation and ask to be put on a duty with a Monday day off.If theres not one available then ask to swap your day off arrangements with someone in the same rota set.If DOM is non co-operative then request that through future resourcing meetings with your rep,your position will attract 1 in 6 (or whatever your current attendance patterns are) Saturdays in line with every other member in the office.Days off unpaid are an absolute last resort!
