Focus group in our office lasted for one session, then it became clear that rm didn't want to hear our view and did what they were going to do in the first place

I did one a couple of years ago, and as the above poster said, they will basically ignore you UNLESS you tell them what they want to hear.
And it is pointless coming up with sensible suggestions, they won't be interested.

Our DIM says that the 1.5 hours overtime is only payable if you the go over on your finishing time. Is this correct, need written proof that he is wrong. Please help

if you're doing it in your duty then you are doing it instead of your duty. Get a chunk of your duty covered, if you go over you get paid. Unless you're in the land of milk and honey. Starts with Milton and ends in Keynes.

It won't make a blind bit of difference,so pointless I person make's 90mins o/t the rest get f--k all,and everybody get's shafted,thats the problem.

Don't make me laugh! The big picture has f**k all to do with engaging the staff. Unless engaging the staff involves placing a 'mail is down' plastic card on a whiteboard and the CWU logo on the propaganda leaflets.

Me and my mate done it, we done several sessions and, it was a waste of time. We came up with ideas that would work with a small cost and some ideas that costs nothing (shut the callers office door, the public won't hear us swearing at each other). You think you might change things a bit for the better but all you are really doing is wasting your breath.
