B & H ,, stage 2 Greivance

i put in a B&H against my manager as i had enough of the grief i have been getting ,, got some boy on the phone from the department you lodge this complaint with,, he was saying it should be a stage 2 grievance ,, whats the difference ?

Basically it's not been settled and so you push it to a stage 2 to try and resolve it, at a stage 3 the top dogs get involved if its not been resolved

The want to bump it down from a B&H complaint to a grievance so they can kick it around a bit until it goes away.
Typical RM ploy to keep the B&H count down...it happens too often in this business and some of it is down to the union advising members against B&H in case it ends up a bad faith case.
If it's a genuine and serious B&H complaint.....Tell them to do one.

this has been going on for years but only now have i decided to fight back ,, i know he will agree to everything ,, pay lip service to it ,,then do what he wants anyway ,, whereas i want it to go all the way to get him off my back

edit .. i advised the man on the phone i had sent a copy to Union HQ as well
edit again ... i should also point out all my reps ,, local and area are behind me ,, they didn't or couldn't say whether i should go ahead with B&H and that it was my decision alone ,, but they didn't look too unhappy when i said i was going ahead

Recently somebody at out office actually managed to get a B&H case heard as most we try and get heard are downgraded to only a grievance.
Rather unsurprisingly it was thrown out as it seems that if your a manager and your being `investigated` it is okay to get a list of all potential witnesses against you(Before you yourself have been interviewed )and then intimidate them,it is also fine for the investigating manager to NOT interview people mentioned in the complainants statement and it is also fine for said bullying manager to wave his finger in somebody's face and threaten them but to apparently say that he was "only waving them back into the building".

Yes Royal Mail does JUSTICE better than any other.

Just will never change whilst interviewers are paid by RM.They all p*** in same pot trust me i was a victim of this impartial technique .Pushed it to far got dismissed rest my case.W******

got a phone from RM office boy in Employee relations ,, this isnt B&H this is a grievance ,, papers returned ,, it will be the same people dealing with this complaint and you can appeal was there catch line ,, i felt as though the boy was calling me a liar ,, worse than trying to make an insurance claim ,,

I put in a b+h against a manager about 5 years ago, had rm people on phone as here saying it wasn't

how can you get dismissed for being b&h by the dom? ill make sure my grievance is well heard. doms are c***s

The attitude Royal Mail adopts to B&H is disgusting,they spout on about how it's not tolerated but IT IS tolerated.I speak from experience , a manager witnessed two instances of me being bullied and when questioned, blatantly lied and said she had no knowledge of either incident...who do they choose to believe? They haven't even bothered to interview the other witnesses to the incidents !! RM should be ashamed of themselves and the shoddy way they treat people.

I don't think it's tolerated,I think it's encouraged.

I've seen DSMs bully Doms and Doms bully Line Managers,all three bully OPGs and unfortunately OPGs bullying each other so it's an institutional and pervasive culture throughout the business.

It won't stop until they start taking it seriously and while the nod and a wink system of mates investigating mates continues and the risk of a bad faith judgement is used as a weapon the bullying will continue.

I don't know any other business where you would get away with what goes on in a delivery office especially by management.

I've only been at mine a few months and I'm already looking for another job due to all the bullying etc that goes on. We had one guy leave because the manager was treating him like crap and he'd started not long before me. I've never seen much of it happen in one place, happens less at schools.
