Don't really know what to do about this. A walk has been tested and was found to be to big. They took some off it and gave it to me to do. In fairness I do just about have enough time to do it. I work to my time everyday. Now on Saturday I found out that the chap who's bit of the walk I do was finished almost 1 and a half hours before his finishing time which was about the time it took me to do the bit which was taken off him. So do I go to the Dom and if so what can he do? See the union rep? Or can I refuse to do it in future. Any advice would be welcome. Thank you

The fact is the other duty has been timed and found to be over,that's the end of it for that duty.
It was added to your duty and by your own admission you have the time to do it,that's the end of it for that duty.

If the original postie is now finishing early on a duty that has been timed then he must be cutting corners,he's a knob for doing that and it will come back to bite him but it's nothing to do with you.
If this post seems a bit harsh it wasn't meant to,I was going for honest and it's nothing personal.

just keep doing your own duty properly and take reassurance in the fact that you have nothing to hide. you dont need to worry about what others are doing as RM more than likely are.

yep thats why seniority is good in this case. when you get the chance move off that duty. in the mean time sit tight and only cut off if you are going over your time never moan if you can complete ON time.

Wow, you have had 1.5hrs added to your duty and still finish on time? Think yourself lucky you were doing a piece of p*ss walk beforehand

The other guy sounds like a Saturday runner, can't get prepped or complete Mon-Fri but come Saturday they are finished hours early. The worst kind of postie IMO, at least normal 'runners' do it every day instead of taking the piss.
