Either these are last years election papers or it's come in under the wire - didn't even know they were due - you could be forgiven for thinking it's groundhog day of course - same faces, different year, usual suspects already elected unopposed - obviously not enough people putting themselves forward

the only new face recently has been Kye Dudd,who surprisingly has not been recommended by HQ

I continue to oppose any move to pay the Executive an inflated wage. The Executive shouldn’t be paid more than those they represent. This is not right, money should go to fund support for front line Reps in the workplace.

I continue to oppose any move to pay the Executive an inflated wage. The Executive shouldn’t be paid more than those they represent. This is not right, money should go to fund support for front line Reps in the workplace.

Why did he not oppose the motion at this years Conference from the Executive to pay Regional Secretaries £30,000 plus per year? There is no proposal to pay the Executive any kind of payment, I smell electioneering here rather than real policies. Not heard much about him since his election other than on facebook!!!!!!!!

Ive no idea why he didnt oppose the motion at conference but theres only one way to find out and thats ask him,unfortunately I dont have the chance to hold any of the candidates accountable and not heard much about any of them and most have been on the executive for years.All the majority of members have to go on is the election address given by each candidate along with a post card and 2 emails from HQ with their recommendations.

I do think an open debate about salaries at CWU HQ and other Union HQs are worth having and want to know why we think its a necessity to pay out small fortunes to defend our terms and conditions and why so many leaders fighting for a living wage are catapulted into the top 10% of earners in the UK .

A 2011 report by The TaxPayers' Alliance revealed that Derek Simpson's total compensation for the period 2010-2011 was £510,659, making him the highest paid Trade Union boss in the United Kingdom. if true,why?
