How many hours in a working day?

If you were put on a morning walk and a afternoon collection how many hours in total would you be expected to work in one day? How much time between shifts is allowed? If, say you did a 7 hour delivery then a 4 hour collection run with 2 hour break between, total day 13 hours, working day 11 hours, acceptable?

As long as you are able to take the appropriate rest breaks during your shift and between working days then yes it is acceptable.

13 hr days are acceptable

legal I think is the better choice. Acceptable would indicate a personal or political choice dependent on if your were the one doing or the one telling.

I personally would not accept a contract that basically means in a 5 day week you'd be at work, or getting ready for it 65 hours a week. You would be working/sleeping/working/sleeping - no work life balance not a choice I would make.

you work 8 hours a day normal time. u said u dun a 7 hour delivery so with tea break that makes 7hrs 40 mins . your afternoon is overtime ob without the 20 mins u owe them which im sure u give them and do make sure u give them the 20 mins. sum dims are a bit picky over that

Not me, one of our PT staff asked to do this shift, overall hours that week no more than 35 hrs. We just thought it was a long day that's all,
