dodgy IB manager

I seem to remember about a year ago one of the managers within IB was caught with there hands in the till so to speak. Anyone know what happened or better has an external link to the case?

I Often wonder are managers allowed to come into box counter/callers offices to use the till in order to get change for coffee machines/or just change of a £10 note etc?
I have seen this done dozens of times in the past!

Any (1)manager or (2)staff wanting-needing) access to the Callers Office who are not entitled to be in there should sign into and out the Callers.
We have a senior manager who weekly comes down hands a cheque over for cash(they have to get permission from the DOM) they sign in, we exchange cash for cheque, and send the cheque off with submitted money.

In short, the Callers Office is a secure area much like the specials cage everyone signs in and out-in theory :)



(1)Any manager who is NOT the Callers Office first line manager.
(2) Staff popping in to help Callers staff locate a packet classed as an N1, or requesting a redelivery for customer etc..

Can't find any details on sentence though despite searching various law/court databases.

Cant recall that one in the Courier. But then he is a manager and they are as clean as a baby,s bum

It was in the courier last year, can't remember exactly what he got but he had to pay the money back with a lot of costs and got a suspended sentence with a few weeks community service. Good to see they prosecute regardless of position in RM, I thought he would have gone down but I suppose that is up to the Court.

One of our line managers got nicked by the IB he only had 2 yrs left till retirement the silly old prick....he was a right dodgy f****r....ex serviceman used to come into work reeking of vodka...and used to flip on a regular basis and trash his office
