Sick before Holiday...

hi guys. im new to the site but have been in the job awhile. i have a slight concern which im hoping someone might be able to help me with. im due on holiday next week but have been signed off sick this week until monday. (thats when my holiday is due to start). im abit concerned as to what may happen as i can understand it may look abit suspect. (i am genuinely unwell but wont go into much detail). can anyone give me any advice? am i worrying too much? im just concerned what with all the changes in RM etc etc. thanks.

You can either continue sick absence next week or move from sick absence to annual leave but you should inform them either way.
If you continue on sick absence you will be subject to the sick absence policy and have to maintain reasonable contact,If you are going away you really should inform them.
That's about it,nothing to worry about really.

just remember if you are still sick while on holiday ,, you can claim back that weeks holiday ,, as you cant be sick and on holiday at the same time ,, i would only say this is worth doing if your abscence is going to trigger a stage ,, your as well being hung for a sheep
