Does anyone know if the CWU and RM are actually talking at all about pay etc? The reason i ask i remember reading on this forum that the cwu had agreed "Pace of change talks" which was going to be presented to the PEC a few weeks ago. Has anything come of it?

The Pace Of Change was a delivery agreement on concluding the Business Transformation deal. This has already been circulated to Branch's the main change is that if your office has not had any money will get the full £1000 when they introduce the revison £600 , £200 and then the final £200 once the PIR has been concluded.

Now no real progress has been made on the other issues including pay and it unlikely to be ahead of the result of the consultation ballot. Remember the CWU want a no strings deal and Royal Mail are saying they will only resolve pay if we agree to all the other issues.

The PIR link to the £200 only applies to revisions which are introduced after the 5th may 2013. There is also a section on achieving the £200 quicker.

so what happens to us then considering most of your northern members have been shafted by being forced to do revisions earlier and not being paid .

Dingo, sorry to but in on this thread, but when are we likely to receive the consultation ballot forms?

It will vary some Branch's are choosing to going to a different workplace every day and then holding a meeting and then handling the ballot papers out to everyone. The ballot closes on the 18th June . I would suggest you ask your Branch secretary for details in your area.

Ive heard so many rumours lately that I think ill change my name to fleetwood mac...but has anyone else heard that Royal Mail have put a pay rise on the table during the talks...id rather it wasnt true at this stage of the game

I would be very surprised if they haven't several offers,I think the value of the offer isn't really the sticking point,It's the insistence that any offer is tied to various outstanding transformation issues that's the big problem.

I believe there has always been an offer on the table, but it was attached to a list longer than your arm. It's my opinion that we should get at least an inflation based pay rise, and if they want to attach strings, they should increase the offer further, rather than bully us into shafting ourselves to get what would undoubtedly be a derisory pay rise.

No-one really knows anything about it.
As part of ongoing talks the details remain secret but basically there is a 3 year deal if you give a shareholder your pension.
