I am moving my 73 year old mother from london to scotland and a month ago asked for one week leave, found out today it had been granted all unpaid, even thou i have two days outstanding leave to use up, been told i can't use that against leave because of budget , not a happy bunny

First off, budget isn't your problem. Second, if you're off, what difference does it make? Get the Rep in to have a word. At the end of the day, you will still have to take the 2 days off at some point. Think your manager is being a tit.

cheers gremlin ,doms alright , think they are now just puppets on a string . i have asked for his boss's number as this is a man i have never met , who has had the final say. as we are a small office we can only have one off at a time, strange thou they could suspend someone on full payfor 2 weeks ,whist someone was off, and the best laugh was the guy who got suspanded nothing else came of it

Why should you get spl leave for getting married surely you knew well in advance and why not book your own leave

Unfortunately trying to book a Saturday off in my office is impossible. ..got married in the July and then had my 2 weeks honeymoon in Greece the next day....my annual leave prior to this was in the February. ..wait 5 months for a honeymoon
