atos assessment

I had a atos assessment last week and the report says I should be transferred to an indoor duty because my disability is lifelong and making outdoor work very difficult, does Royal Mail need to take notice of what atos say? or is the assessment not worth the paper its written on.

They could ignore it although that woud be foolish.

More likely to offer you ihr or a transfer if there isn't the indoor work at your place.

After having a hip operation and having 12 weeks off sick I to had an atos assessment. ..I too told them going back on my walk would be a struggle for me...an indoor duty wasn't even given to me as an option. ..basically the day after the phone interview I was offered ihr with a lump sum

It all depends if the manager wants rid of you as this would be his/her perfect excuse to do it as royal mail are under no obligation to find you alternative work if Atos state that you are no longer fit to do your current job role & fit the criteria for ill health retirement but they might look at a transfer to another office or take the easy option & offer you i.h.r.
