Testing of prep

Dom has started skirting about the prospect of "testing" prep of some of the guys in my office, me included

Our p and l revision is in, in full glory and as predicted some struggle and sometimes leave work behind/cut off etc.

My Dom is insistent on doing a full mail count, packet count, CSS mail count (from computer figures)

I've said he can only do a 1 minute prep test to an empty frame, he says otherwise.

Am I right or am I wrong?

We are all out to our time in the morning according to the duty description from the planning tool.

It's just the jobs are taking say an hour or so longer than planner said they would

So what can the Dom check? How must he proceed according to the cwu

I have no issue personally nor do the other guys, I think one or two may feel a bit intimidated, but I've always said the Dom is welcome to come out with me

He refuses because he knows what the result will be. Or possibly he's just a lazy twat.
To the best of my knowledge, the one minute prep test is on an empty frame, and you don't even have to get them right to pass, or at least, that's what an old boy in my office told me. He passed by putting the whole bundle in one slot straight away.
I think it's just intimidation and bullying. Again.

They will try every facet of your work day, to swing the blame onto you. Prep rates, breaks, walking pace. Wait until xmas; you're going to have a lot of fun with it.

It depends on the purpose of the testing.
If it simply to try and apportion blame for the failings of the office it is a pointless exercise.

If however it is to identify problems and rectify them, then fine.

Say, for example, one of the reasons the prep was taking longer than his "should take" time was down to trying to prep 4/5 sets of D2D into double slots?
Or multiple occupancy houses only being allocated 1 "house" space on the frame?

A one minute test wouldn't identify these problems and no attempt would be made to address the problem of a frame that isn't really fit for purpose.

He will try and use iwt now and say you are slow make sure you get the disagreement in as soon as he comes out with by my calculations you should be done by this time
