A nice Saturday treat...

Post by BB brother »

Has anyone recieved that piece of filth on the new attendance agreement this morning ?

It spends the first two paragraphs boldly asserting that all ill employees will now be treated with fairness , dignity and respect etc...
Thought that would have been a given !

Words cant express how much i despise this current lot.

Anyway, have a nice BH weekend y'all :D

Don't think so. There are still days/number of absences to be hit before then as far as I'm aware. Expect it's scaremongering...not that RM would do this or encourage/put up with managers that do this.... :whistle

Why is RM wasting money and resources sending out propaganda dross to posties. One has to wonder why they keep telling us the same thing over and over; if it is a good message, most people are sensible to get it the first few times...

The New attendance document tells you very little and the same thing summarised in the letter was put on a card, why?

And they have starter prepping people by promising that we shall gets at least 10% of value when RM is transformed - they mean privatised. Obsessed!!!

RM policy is to make a simple point of propaganda (so the Proles can understand it, so they think) in big writing with bright colours and keep repeating it and repeating it ad nauseum so that we all learn to believe it as fact.

When we all know these "points" are bulls**t.

This policy does not work. Just shows how out of touch with reality the people at the top really are.

Under this new system Managers are now meant to use their own judgement on certain occasions and discretion about stages or warnings .
In reality if a manager does not issue a warning they themselves will be put on a warning .

How can someone with a excellent attendance record who all of a sudden develops a medical condition which is classed as serious and not allowed to return to work till atos and the Doctors agree this person now come back to work be put on a warning for having too much time of .

Is their a set of Guidelines for how long someone should have off for certain conditions

Heart attack 7 days Maxium
Broken leg 5 days
Eye problem 4 days
Broken ankle 3 days
DEATH 1 DAY
STRESS 0 DAYS ,AS IS NO STRESS IN RM

really do manager get a warning. So what happens if the manager refuse to issue a warning.

When I work for 4 different companies in the past I don't get anything in the post perhaps maybe once or twice if needed and is fed up of Royal Mail sending us too much junk mail with combined Royal Mail, Royal Mail Pensions and CWU related mail.

No.
Some managers are just spineless and won't take the tiny risk of having to justify not issuing a stage due to mitigating circumstances to their boss.
They wrongly believe that not issuing a stage marks you out as weak when in fact issuing a stage because you are terrified of what the DSM might say means you really are pathetic and weak.
Of course some managers are lazy, some are just plain vindictive and some are so stupid they really do think they are doing the business a favour by constantly staging people.

The truth is there is no censure or warning for not staging people,no targets to hit and no bonus to make,It is such a long, drawn out and expensive business to dismiss through the attendance procedure and then recruit replacements in this job that it isn't really worth the hassle for the business to use it to manipulate staffing levels.

The farcical situation is the business wants less people on stages but their frontline managers fail to grasp such a simple concept, think they know better and subsequently fail to implement the procedure properly.

If I was Moya Greene and we do end up privatised I would give serious consideration to writing off a couple of hundred million and purging this business of around 60-70% of the present management structure who are plainly not fit for purpose...wipe the slate clean and start again from scratch.
