If you have been IHR'd then any holidays owed will be paid to you in your lump sum.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Not necessarily so...outstanding holidays have nothing to do with lump sum (34 weeks) + pay in leiu. ...the company like you to use your holidays.....was told I need to chase this up with my line manager...POSTMAN wrote:If you have been IHR'd then any holidays owed will be paid to you in your lump sum.

Re: use them or lose them
HR are completely clueless.
When I was sacked (wrongfully) they said I wasn't entitled to any untaken accrued holiday pay as I was summary isms missed.
No matter what you are entitled by employment law to this......unless you owe them money
Clearly script fed

Your line manager might play dumb or fob you off.
Remember savings to them mean better chance of a bonus
File an et1 well before the 90 day limit if need be

However recent EU rulings have said that you cannot be on leave and sick leave at the same time http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communit ... ng#p497565" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ..... and that whilst on sick leave you are still entitled to accrue leave or have it paid back in Lieu if you leave http://www.personneltoday.com/articles/ ... -leave.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;postman nel wrote:Not necessarily so...outstanding holidays have nothing to do with lump sum (34 weeks) + pay in leiu. ...the company like you to use your holidays.....was told I need to chase this up with my line manager...POSTMAN wrote:If you have been IHR'd then any holidays owed will be paid to you in your lump sum.
