The walks are designed for trolley work.
Try and think of it in terms of the human body isn't made to carry this s**t for 5 hours. If you were to hurt your back, they'd crucify you. No sick pay, suspension, maybe even sack. Don't chance it.

I don't get people complaining about things like this.
You get to work X amount of hours, how you work in that time (within reason), shouldn't matter. If it takes longer with a trolley, it takes longer, you can still go home at the same time.

What I don't get is why we are still forced to use a trolley when, On a light day (tues) there can be 1 bundle per loop weighing no more than 2kg with no packets.. Yet I have to push an empty trolley around lol..

First things first, the trolley was designed to be PULLED, you are allowed to push it only when descending an incline and when maneuvering through tight/awkward spaces.

Secondly the trolley shouldn't be empty, you've just admitted that you have a bundle of mail, so put the bundle of mail inside it. You only need to deliver to one delivery point at a time, so just carry the mail for that one delivery point to that delivery point.

Hi guy's......just got one question regarding lightwheight trolley's, and bear in mind, have raised this question with senior managers and cwu reps, ........and not had a definitive answer "what do i do if i get dog crap on my trolley"?

I try and clean it off.......but sometimes i don't spot it right away....no harm done really, am only walking the streets.......but, if i do not spot it on a trolley wheel, it gets put in the back off the van, and b4 you know it, there is dog muck over everything...mail, packets and van interior. I am all for lwt's......but am against putting mine or my p/l partners health at risk.Or customer's for that sake. So, i ask again....what do the business want me to do if i get dog crap on my wheels?

Surely, you have enough paper on you, to polish those wheels back up to pristine condition in order not to put your colleagues at risk.

As the Senior Manager or CWU Rep I'd first ask you how you managed to run your trolley through some dog crap!
It's not as if the crap was crossing your path from beyond your periphery, was disguised as a paving slab or waiting for you in stealth or invisible mode.

If you cannot see what is in front of you whilst walking then I'd suggest that you are not paying enough attention. If you cannot pay sufficient attention when on delivery then that would be a far greater worry in terms of Health and Safety.

As clashcityrocker suggested you treat it in the same way as you would had you stepped in it during a lack of concentration. Clean it off the best you can given your circumstances at the time, then when you return to the office, ensure that you clean it off sufficiently well so as not to affect others who may come into contact with it.

That had better be a joke post Himaggen,If it's not there's more s**t in your post than you could run over with 10 trolleys.
What it does show on your part though is a lack of relevant delivery experience,with or without a trolley.
