Refused leave

Getting married in 2 weeks time, management knew about this in january. Just wanted a week off after the wedding to go on honeymoon, finally been told by my manager that that week is unavailable and can,t have that week off. Thanks royal mail for making my wedding a memorable one, bloody joke.

When I got married because it was a 4 30pm wedding. .I was refused the day off and was told I would finish in plenty of time to get ready .

check with your union as when i got married i got a week paid leave,on top of my annual leave hope this will help and all the best

Swap week off with a friend. Royal Mail aren't flexible enough :(

It was to my understanding you were entitled to 3 days leave to be married, sure rep will know.

MARRIAGE/REGISTRATION OF CIVIL PARTNERSHIP LEAVE    3 to 5 days paid leave depending on annual leave entitlement:
• 3 days if leave entitlement is 6 weeks.
• 4 days if leave entitlement is 5 weeks 3 days.
• 5 days if leave entitlement is 5 weeks.

no ones on 5 weeks leave and no ones on 5 weeks 3 days ?
