Yeah one of the managers printed it out and left it there for me, will speak to him on wesnesday when I am back in work.

I had one of these a couple of months ago - replacing the old style changeover in-house test.

3hrs 30min of Dull.

First the office forgot to reserve me a van to do it in so I ended up in a mid size rental rather than the hi-top I'd agreed with my manager. The course started with me going round the van showing that I knew the various reservoirs in the engine and how to check the fluid levels. Then I went through the duty checks. Once on the actual road I was given a known destination to make my way towards (~6mi inter urban route) where the guy just observed my driving. Then at the destination he went through the good/bad points of my driving style. Then he took over for a 30minute "demonstration drive". Then he went through the various manouvres with me. Then there was some more generic driving to cover dual carriageways and rural roads. Then we went back to the office to be given my rating and his reasononing for it, and finally I was asked to assess him & the course.

I did this after I had a crash (when I say crash I mean, knocked off a wing mirror on a tree that had fallen over on a dark rural road during a storm), it was incredibly boring but I was told a secret, drive badly first off and when they stop to tell you what your problems are.............then drive like an angel.

Anyone who has any incident has to do the 3.30 hours assessment now. You can lightly bump a garden fence and put a tiny mark in your van like i did and boom, they book you in!
