Grievance procedure

Post by celerycelery »

How does it actually work? Lets say hypothetically of course that I have filled in a grievance form cause I was constantly being picked on by a certain manager and others have noticed it as well. Got the form in my pocket, so who do I hand it to, what do they do with it, when do I get a response and what do I do if I am not happy with the response? Is there a document that lays all this out for everyone to see?

I'd say that sounds more like harrasment, i'd hand it to his manager, so if it's you line manger the DOM, if it's the DOM give it to the DSM, goodluck btw as the Grievance procedure is crap and ignored, the harassmment one on the otherhand seems to get acted on.

what do they do with it
They either bin it or eat it or wipe their bums on it
when do I get a response
When they feel like it or in a lot of cases never or they take as long as they can then you might forget about it :Very Happy
what do I do if I am not happy with the response?
You go to the next level,if you start on the stage 1 you got to stage 2 and then 3,if you start at 2 you go to 3 when..sorry if ;liar they turn your grievance down
Is there a document that lays all this out for everyone to see?

Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09

Think that doesnt give anyone confidence in the procedures at all.

Mite be thinking of one if my request - thats perfectly feasible according to CWU reps - isnt acted upon.

Why are RM Mangers investigating themselves?

Only an idiot/fool or VERY honest person would find their own actions incorrect/unacceptable/incompetent and act on them

Daft yes, stupid idiots or fools, no.

I have just completed this procedure, while my area CWU rep was a diamond not much could be said in regards to RM Management, it has taken 6 months in RM timescales
as some one pointed out how can a manager from nearby area conduct a grievence when he was in on it

The said manager who it was against just sat there saying it is my job  ]

I was at least expecting a apology but nothing,

My cwu rep did say to them that the manager tried to use atos to force me out , but the manager who this was just stayed quiet , never known him to be so quiet ,
All the manager taking it said that they want to draw a line underneath it and start afresh ,but my stage 2 would be put back to nothing :angel

Nothing was discussed on why the manager conducted himself in the way he did, and he blatantly lied when i bought up about what he said two weeks ago about not making 33yrs in the business and I had a witness :silenced

I will probably still get in contact with headquarters as I know they still want to hear from folks.

The managers could not get me out of the office quick enough.

Essex mum :wave
