How many sick days?

Can anyone advise on how many sick days I have taken.

Went sick last Thursday. I rang Saturday evening and left a message to say I would be returning Tuesday. So, have I taken 3 days off (Thu, Fri + Sat) or will they count the Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday as well making 5 days?

I think they'll say 5 and include Sunday and Monday.
Next time you ring, say you'll return to work tomorrow, even if you're not due in. Then there can be no misinterpretation.

He did leave a message to say he was returning to work at the next oppitunity so it's 3 days IMO.

You need to ensure that when you phone in you say fit for work from ........... Otherwise because you have said fit for work for Tuesday they include up to that date. 5 dys in all.

you have to phone in at the end of your shift and say you are fit for work NOW. Then the sickness stops if you say Tuesday then its counted until Tuesday.

They will count it all as sick,if they do,then remember this,you can't be off sick and on holiday at the same time,so the bank holiday would have to go back into your holiday pot.
