Dear Colleague
CWU Consultative Ballot/Workplace leaflets
Please find attached in a colour PDF format, 4 separate workplace leaflets that build on the themes in our recent membership communication.
Specifically the leaflets cover the subjects of pay, workplace issues, privatisation and unfair competition.
Batches of these leaflets are being sent directly to workplaces from CWU Headquarters and local Reps should be informed about this.
We want our Representatives to gradually feed each of these leaflets into the workplace over the next couple of weeks to strengthen support for the Unions position and maximise turnout in the Consultative Ballot.
In the meantime we would encourage Branches to start this process by printing off their own copies from the PDF format. Next week we will also be sending out a new CWU Representative Brief that will further assist the Unions campaign.
Finally, we can advise that the Union has appointed Popularis Ltd as the independent scrutineer for the ballot. Popularis are experts in ballots of this nature and are accredited by the Department of Business Innovation Skill (BIS). Popularis will be responsible for the distribution of all ballot paper and a further LTB will be sent out on Tuesday explaining all of the ballot arrangements.

I highly doubt we'll have any influence in the privatisation outcome!
