really feel that our union is letting us down in our office, they have just employed a new member of staff and put him on 39 hours straight away rumor has it he is going to be trained for a manager even though the guys new. secondly our overtime days are now only 6 hours long so if we come in to work a day off we only get 6 hour not 8. thirdly the overtime whats avaible is paid by rows not loops 1:15min per row as most of you know if you have a few loops on this row its going to take alot longer than 1.15.
thinking of opting out of the union as its getting worse and worse our office

Again nothing the Union can do about this. The P&M agreement brought in all paid hours, and the membership voted it in (I was a No vote) so they can't even enter a disagreement. In fact YOU and your colleagues have the power here (more than the Union). Well obviously its a personal choice and I hope there is more to it than the 2 points above as the Union have nothing to do with those situations,and they would be very limited in any response anyway.
