Summer savings and absorption post revision

Pre empting my Dom here, but I have it on good authority that our recently implemented revision, which incidentally is failing and costing money, is now subject to the dsm, wanting savings for the summer......

I have already laughed at the Dom and said no chance but I have a meeting in a few weeks regarding it.

Am I correct in thinking the cwu want us to go straight to disagreement over any outdoor saving, once a methods revision has gone in?

There should be no new budgetary savings plans agreed but absorption/lapsing is not budgetary.
Post revision you should not be lapsing above model traffic.
You should not be lapsing if it affects QofS.

If there is no agreement on pay and related issues by May 13th the union has requested units to withdraw from absorbing workload from that date.

How's that going to work? If you have the time then I think it would be very difficult to say no without putting yourself in a position which could result in someone getting (at least) conducted.

Not entirely sure DGP.
All I know is that it was part of an amendment to the motion carried at the Postal Policy forum.
I'm sure the details will be worked out in due course and disseminated to the plebs but to me that would constitute Industrial Action which would require a ballot.

As I understand it the revision model week comes into play when lapsing - the problem arises when it's a blanket lapsing every day for weeks on end.

Easy! Out comes the Joint Statement "Lapsing is Finished" followed a week later with another agreed Joint Statement "Summertime Cooperation" pretty much agreeing that any excess work will be carried out during normal working hours Problem solved!

So if your model week was set at 50 000 and on a quiet Tuesday over the summer the traffic is 18 000, there wouldn't be time to lapse?
