Personally, I'd tell them I didn't fancy the OT. It's your day off, and it can't be changed. They can ask, but you can refuse. I don't know what, if any docs, would be relevant, but hopefully someone more knowledgeable than myself will post soon. say its your 1 in 4 sat off and a new manager comes in and says no your working then what do you say to that ... also no union in office are there any documents.
I know, but i have seen it happen, once. I was just illustrating how the life of a reserve can go sometimes, but yeah long weekends you will never see one of those again unless you book it off as holidaygary1975 wrote:reserve sat off
Not really. They can change your content with no notice, and there isn't anything you can do about it. Whatever day off was agreed, they have to honour it, if you are unaware of which it is get it clarified tomorrow. If, as it looks to me from your post, it's Saturday, then stick to it. If they say you can't have it, tell them you've planned to go somewhere as you were told it was your day off. Last week I was asked to change this weeks day off to Saturday as they were having difficulties getting enough cover that day.
Walked in today and was told that I wasn't on the walk I was scheduled to cover this week and I was on another walk "for the day".
Got back to the d.o. at finish time and whoever was doing my scheduled walk had done 2 days of d2d. I'm assuming he's of the opinion that he's on the walk all week and is trying to get ahead of the game.
Anything I can quote at them if they start the "...ah, we'll....you see...you're no longer on the walk with the Saturday as day off...but you can have today instead....seems silly to come in and not work it as o/t and pull us out of the s**t yet again even when we f**k you about and rob you of Saturdays off on a regular basis"
