2 in 6 saturdays
Hi our office voted for the 2 in 6 during the revision.As a reserve I have been told by management that I am entitled to 2 Saturdays off every 6 weeks but not the Fridays and Mondays that go with the Saturdays,this means I will never have a long weekend. Can anyone clarify this it seems very unfair.

It may seem unfair, but it would comply with what was apparently agreed. As long as you get 2 in 6 Sat off, you have what has been agreed. The vote/agreement wasn't for 2 in 6 long weekends. Or was it?
I do sympathise and agree with you, but whenever something like this comes in, there have to be those on the losing end, and unfortunately one is you.
It is probably impossible to staff the required days it would take to give everyone this long weekend.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

I'm on a 4 day week,but my office is different than many on here,we don't get screwed over.
Our reserves get the days off of the duty they are covering.....end of.
I would of thought screwing around with it would just cause a lot of hassle.
And I never understand how other offices get screwed over with this....and many other things tbh.

Because the rep is in it for himself, and because of this the office is fragmented, and wont stand together, add to that the flyers who wont stand for anything that might make them work past 11a.m.
