It's happening again in our office, overtime listed down not getting paid in full.

Come next week, several hours missing.

Manager saying if you don't sign out the time you leave for delivery then they will cross out the overtime.

If you do forget to sign out on your way out then you come back and they put X X in the box where you should have signed.

But what has this got to do with being paid for overtime you have done?

If you sign in , in the morning, and out when you go home surely that is enough to prove you have done the overtime?

It has nothing to do with OT payment. Just your Manager trying it on. Challenge him/her and ask for in writing.

If I have ever had this type of issue I've just said 'fine - you owe me two hours , I'll be finishing two hours early today'. Case closed.

weve had this as well but the dom was writing your finishing time down when you hand your keys in. the times where never right and you was having to argue on a sat when it came to put your docket down, so my words was get a clocking machine no arguments then so I said keep it , I take all my break , use trolleys , work my hours end of story.

Yes, you should sign out when you leave the office for delivery, but You have a start time and finish time any hours worked prior to your start time, or after your finish time is overtime and should be paid regardless whether you sign out on your delivery.

this is theft at the highest degree - it is also bullying and harassment which is rife up and down the country and becoming common in every workplace. Contact your union rep then work up the ladder. Also if you want to s**t your manager up then ask for his/her address and say you need for for a small claims court or for a police report : reason - theft.

Yes, you should sign out when you leave the office for delivery, but You have a start time and finish time any hours worked prior to your start time, or after your finish time is overtime and should be paid regardless whether you sign out on your delivery.

As for the OP's problem, signing out is totally unrelated to payment of O/T. They can counsel you for failing to sign in/out, and further down the Conduct Code if you persist in failing to sign in/out. But using it to avoid paying O/T, it's just plain WRONG.

Ask for it in writing, to see relevant agreement, see your Rep. When he fails to show you/prove that he can do as he has been, ask him to reimburse your O/T, if he refuses, GRIEVANCE. Have a witness (Rep preferably, if not someone you trust) to all conversations, and diarise the process.

well you normally claim the 1 hour extra (i.e. 06:00 - 07:00) however if you finsih 30 mins early you can't just go home unless manager says so. There is always work to be done like cleaning vans etc..

ask your manager why you have not been paid your overtime it could be a mistake.
if your manager comes out with you owe him time or he has not got the hours to pay you.

ring up the i.b and say your manager is fiddling the overtime dockets.
remember there is always a manager waiting to stab another manager in the back.
