Yes it happend,I was diagnosed with a brain tumor had it removed December 11 last year,9 days in hospital,69 days off,atos stated i was covered e.e.a (the old d.d.a.),but alas manager issued as "my attendance falls below standards set" ,but he did write the illness does fall under the e.e.a.(d.d.a.),caring and compassion company (not

I had a brain tumor removed 2 years ago. Had 90 days off work. I did not get put on a stage.Depends who your manger is i think.

Any decent human being with a conscience would never have issued a stage. They deny it but it's company policy to issue stages at all times. They're just heartless, uncaring bastards.

I'm surprised anyone expects any better any more.

Happened down here with Someone having a tumour removed. Stage One. Totally shameful! Pretty sure he emailed Moya and it was taken away. That DOM has gone to another office now. Saying that we have a new DOM every week...

Surely the tumour is classed as a disability by ATOS, if so they have issued the stage because of your disability that goes against the attendance procedure and the Equalities Act 2010 "indirect discrimination" get a rep on it and submit a grievance under "indirect discrimination" quoting equalities act 2010

The attendance procedure is the best way for a manager to get his own back on the postmen. Its a gift, from higher up, at the end of the day to express his deep hatred by using trigger points to harass at least one of them. Even if you are the perfect employee and you were seriously ill this represents a real success to them. It takes a sick personality to say here sign the stage papers, when your sitting there still weak just happy not to have died.
