I had my changeover/ van driving assessment today and ended up with a medium risk rating as I had no real experience of driving a large van. Can anyone tell me A) how this will affect which vehicles I'm eligible to take out, and B) whether there is a reassessment down the line or if this is my permenant rating?

a big red one. dont worry you can have a crash on your test in london and still get passed.
no one wants to be a driver nowdays no driving allowance.

My manager told me I was booked in on a high top maxxus a month ago and I agreed, happy to be tested on the largest in the yard so I would have the capacity to drive any of our fleet. Then a week ago, with test approaching, I noted that all but one of our high-tops were off the road and so I mentioned this to my DOM (manager was off) and he said he would arrange it for either ours to be reserved or he would borrow one for the duration. Then this morning I went in and my manager told me that we didn't acutally have any available so I would be tested for the transit sized vivaro and below. Don't know why I bothered to chase up the high-top last week, I really don't...

Doesn't make a difference I thought; you can still drive high tops even if you got tested with transit?
Don't think a medium risk rating will affect whether or not they allow you to drive. Think they allow you to on high risk, can't see it on dangerous though.
As a side note, I don't think the AA take them seriously. They passed someone I know that ran into a wall on their test.
I also think they occasionally fail people in order to retest them at a later time. They apparently get paid over £200 for the 3 hour 30 tests.
You should see some of the clampets who drive vans in my office, I'm surprised some of them haven't lost their licences yet

No its a half a job. SHould have finished with a pirouette and in the DOMs parking place - now that would be skill
