There has been a purge by management to reduce the number of excess d2ds sent back, warnings have been given that anyone caught dumping will face gross misconduct charges, this of course is fair enough.
Management controls have been put in place to control regular delivery however .the Dom has now issued an edict that residential d2ds are to be delivered to shops to reduce excess and any excess remaining in the delivery office is to be spread amongst all absorbed walks
whether they relate to that district or not, even if they are last weeks and out of date.
Surely this is management dumping to falsify excess figures and totally unacceptable

That doesn't sound right. We normally get the right number for each walk and any excess is given to the DOM. If someone is short I suppose he uses those returns to supplement, but only if relevant to the walk.

Manager being lazy again. It is up to them to make sure D2D or going , IE: to the correct walks , delivery points , float men taking their share , lapsed walks etc. Then if any surplus is handed in to question why and to address the issues. They are turning a blind eye for an easy life until someone is caught dumping a load then it'll be out the door on a misconduct for the postie and the status quo will resume after a few weeks. It's always the same managers that can't manage.

I always have spare D2Ds. Usually between 50 and 100. We record the surplus on each walk and they are out on a york for return. Id tell my DOM/lino to go away if they told me to deliver surplus on my walk. Then tell someone higher up the "food chain". What they are doing is wrong.

You shouldn't be getting that many, maybe it's time to update your A+ to reduce that number.

That's exactly what happens at our orifice. Maybe I'm a few over say, 10 or 15, they are put in the returns box and the accurate amount logged on a sheet. Sometimes I'm a few short, then I take them from the returns box, I must add when I do take some to make up my numbers, I am quite loudly laughed at for doing the job properly.

I have over a dozen opt outs on my walk but that is never taken off the total .
Also they are not counted so their are never the right amount

if they are the official opt outs which the resident needs to renew every two years then they are deducted from the total at the walk bundling centre, if you have any extra you will probably find that your walk log has some houses on it which you do not deliver d2d for some reason ie derelict or something, the amount in the boxes are generally pretty accurate most of the time so if you have extra every week there is an issue somewhere else

No wonder they are all wrong.
